He said "To avoid any confusion, I'll rename this to 'x'. On the contrary, this made everything more confusing. I understood everything until that point in the video (2:34)

231,269 PointsThe variable name was originally "point", so the confusion that renaming it to "x" is intended to avoid is possibly mistaking it as still being of the "Point" (capital "P") class. It had previously been a Point object before being changed to a MapLocation object.
