The border shorthand takes three values: border-width, border-style, border-color separated by spaces: https://www.w3schools.com/css/css_border.asp

You don't need to say 'wide' this is understood from the pixel value. It doesn't want the comma, it wants values separated by spaces, and for the last property it wants the color, where you should use the name of the color parameter:

border: 1px solid $color;
