I am running my code but in the terminal when executing python shopping_list.py it never runs the code.

I am running the following code, however, when I attempt to run in the terminal, it does not run.

def show_help():
  print("What should we pick up at the store?")
  print("""
  Enter 'DONE' to stop adding items.
  Enter 'HELP" for this help.
  """)

  show_help()
  while True:
    new_item = input("> ")

    if new_item == 'DONE':
      break
    elif new_item == 'HELP':
      show_help()
      continue

Hey Preston Dunn, as written, all of your is within the function show_help. If you were to call this function, a stack recursion error would happen since the function has a call to itself within.

It seems the code from show_help() downwards needs to be unindented to be outside the function.

Post back if you need more help. Good luck!!!
