JavaScript JavaScript Basics Making Decisions in Your Code with Conditional Statements Use Multiple Conditions

I get the correct response; however, my editor "check work" returns that my response is not accurate... Please advise

script.js
const money = 9;
const today = 'Friday'

if ( money < 10 || today !== 'Friday' ) {
  alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out.");
} else if ( money >= 50 || today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie and dinner.");
} else if ( money >= 9 || today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time to go to the theaer.");
} else {
  alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home.");
}

Hi April. Good try but you got the right answer by rearranging the logic to move the condition you needed to be true to the top. The other conditions are not going to work. What they want you to do is leave everything where it is and change the AND (&&) OR (||) and NOT (==!) operators to make the code work.

So here is their code

const money = 9;
const today = 'Friday'

if ( money > 10 || today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time to go to the theater.");
} else if ( money >= 50 || today === 'Friday' ) {
  alert("Time for a movie and dinner.");
} else if ( today !== 'Friday' ) {
  alert("It's Friday, but I don't have enough money to go out.");
} else {
  alert("This isn't Friday. I need to stay home.");
}

Take a look at the first if statement. If money greater than 10 OR today is Friday. We only want that true if money is greater than 10 AND its Friday. Go down through each if statement like that and you will get it.

Let me know if you need more help.
