I'm having trouble with skipping the item if it starts with "a".

Any help would be appreciated!

breaks.py
def loopy(items):
    for items in items:
        if items[0] == "a":
            continue
        elif :
            print(items)

An "elif" would be used when you want to test another condition, and you would supply that other condition on the same line.

When you want to do something anytime the previous condition(s) did not pass, use just plain "else".

Also besides the "elif" issue mentioned, you're using "items" in "items", which needs to be fixed on the for, if and print lines.

Good point. I didn't notice that one because — believe it or not — it actually passes the challenge as-is. :open_mouth:

Now that is very interesting and I wonder how python preserves the integrity of the multiple "items" instances, so it's a non issue and now I'll have to do some investigation. :confused:
