margin/padding properties for elements with inline display

Since margin/padding properties are not supposed to affect elements with inline display, how come when I change the margin-top value for nav it does affect its positioning? Same with footer.

The nav and footer elements have a default display value of block unless specifically set to inline. Did you change their display at all? If not, then that's the reason it's affecting them 👍
