Print issue

I can't understand why is my code doesn't work: def avg(num1, num2): return (num1 + num2) / 2

avg(2,10) print(avg)

Why I can't print a function? Should I always create a variable? average = avg(2,10) print(average). <-- in this case it's work

Almost right, the function is fine, but you can print the result in either of these two ways:

# assign the result to a variable and print the variable
res = avg(2,10)
print(res)

# or directly print the result

print(avg(2,10))
