So when im looking at my print preview, part of my border is being displayed on the page before it. Any idea why?

I'm afraid I'd need to see more of your code before I can help with anything specific. But it sounds to me like an issue with the way your browser is interpreting where a page break ends and starts with its print preview. You can try and change this with CSS in the same way you'd change styling in a browser.

Or maybe remove something else in a print stylesheet that might be taking up unnecessary space. It might make things look better in print preview, but then the best way to test this out is to print a page also.
