4,282 Pointssyntax error, unexpected ';' in index.php on line 12
Tried removing ";" and got a different error.
Perhaps I am missing something that needs to be done before or after the while loop.
Do not know what to do next.
<?php
include "helper.php";
/*
* helper contains the following variables:
* $item is an array that contains details about the library item
* $results is a PDOstatement object with our genre results.
*/
while($row = $results->fetch(PDO::FETCH_ASSOC) {
$item[$genres["genre_id"]][] = $genres["genre"];
}

5,182 PointsHi there,
You forgot the closing php tag ?> at the end of the code.

4,282 PointsAdded ?> to the end of the file and still get the unexpected ";" error.
Removed the ";" and get the error Bummer: syntax error, unexpected '?>' in index.php on line 15.
Something else must be wrong.
Could there be something wrong with the supplied helper.php file?
