What am I doing wrong with add_transaction? Thanks!

Here is what I have:

def add_transaction(description, amount) @transactions.push(description :description, amount: amount) end end

bank_account.rb
class BankAccount
  attr_reader :name

  def initialize(name)
    @name = name
    @transactions = []
  end
  def add_transaction(description, amount)
    @transactions.push(description :description, amount: amount)
  end
  end

end

you need to make the element you push into the array a hash.

  def add_transaction(description, amount)
    @transactions.push({description: description, amount: amount })
  end

Also, there's one extra end after the add_transaction method in your code

Thanks William! Unfortunately, that did not work. In fact, I've tried that yesterday with no luck.

looks like the colon on description is in the wrong place. No curly braces are necessary.

@transactions.push(description: description, amount: amount)
