What is the difference between textContent() and innerText()?

I was wondering what the difference between these two statements: document.querySelector('h1').textContent = "๐Ÿ”ฅBOOM!๐Ÿ”ฅ"; document.querySelector('h1').innerText = "๐Ÿ”ฅBOOM!๐Ÿ”ฅ";

I tried reading the Web Docs about the differences between textContent() and innerText() and I still don't understand it. Can somebody please explain it to me better for a newbie. Thanks Laura
