What's wrong with my code?

I'm not sure where I'm going wrong here

ask.rb
def parse_answer(answer, kind="string")
  answer = gets.chomp
  answer = answer.to_i if kind == "number"
  return answer
end

Hi Patrick! Your code is perfectly valid, looks like they just want it without taking in user input (gets.chomp)... the below passes:

def parse_answer(answer, kind="string")
  answer = answer.to_i if kind == "number"
  return answer
end

Hope that helps, please vote best answer if this resolves your question... thank you! : D
