Python Python Basics (2015) Logic in Python Try and Except

any advice on what i am doing wrong?

Your code is actually fine except for one thing:

def add(name, count):
    try:
        return(float(name) + float(count))
    except ValueError:
        return(None)
    else:
        print(float(name) + float(count))
def add(name, count)   <--- Remove this

You are overriding your function definition with the last line. If you remove it, you'll pass the quiz.
