Databases where autocommit is not switched ON.

Databases where autocommit is not switched ON why do they need to have BEGIN and COMMIT after and before every statement ?

You don't really need those on every statement. But just be aware that until you COMMIT, everything you've done is visible only to you. Only after you COMMIT are the changes visible to anyone else using the database.
