Hi. Can you explain about the .format.

Can you give example of how this is used, and the outcome it gives with and without using this

The "format" function replaces tokens ("{}") in a string with value(s) passed to it. For example:

name = "Joe"
print("Hi, my name is {}!".format(name))

The code shown would output this:

Hi, my name is Joe!

You will see plenty more examples in the course(s) as this function is used frequently.

To add to Steven's answer above, the .format() function takes in values. The value in each value in .format() will take on it's corresponding token ("{}"). For example, if there are many tokens, the first value in .format() will replace the first token, the 2nd value will replace the 2nd token, the 3rd value will replace the 3rd token, etc.
