HTML Introduction to HTML and CSS (2016) Getting Familiar with HTML and CSS Welcome to HTML and CSS

i just tried the first step consisting in changing the background color into blue, i refreshed but nothing happened ?

i did exactly what was said and even tried another color but nothing worked

I figure it out. When you type the word blue, make sure you remove the "#" before the word "blue".

Like this:

.tag { background-color: blue;

Not Like This:

.tag { background-color: #blue;

I hope that helps!

Hi there, Mathilde Aubert! First, make sure you saved your changes. Then, if it still doesn't change, it probably means that your browser is loading in a cached (old) version of the CSS. Try holding down CTRL (if you're on Windows) or SHIFT (if you're on Mac) when you press the "refresh" button. This should cause the browser to do a "hard refresh", which will load the CSS again with your changes.

Hope this helps! :sparkles:

I had a similar issue so I held Ctrl+S on the workspace page and then opened another preview. My internet must have great memory...
