what would be the right answer to the question:

The correct property name is value

var inputValue = document.querySelector('input').value;

Right now you are only accessing the input element itself. The challenge wants you to get the value. You need to use dot notation and the correct property name to access the value.

var inputValue = document.querySelector('input').propertyName // where propertyName is the property to access value
